Since 1995, the St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum has been dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Holocaust, educating about its causes, and illustrating how this tragic period relates to lives today.

In early 2022, the Museum received a $1 million gift from the Tilles Foundation to support the Museum’s new Impact Lab, a highly interactive space that provides visitors the opportunity to consider contemporary issues and challenges through the lens of history and the lessons of the Holocaust.

The launch of the Impact Lab will empower students of all backgrounds to learn more about hate crimes, genocide, prejudice, and discrimination. Each year, the Museum will welcome over 60,000 visitors—many of whom will be students visiting the Impact Lab.

In recent years, the St. Louis community has witnessed growing divisions, hatred, and bigotry. Through the launch of the Impact Lab, the Museum aims to challenge these rising trends and empower visitors to work together in pursuit of a kinder, more understanding world.
